Handmade Snowman Gift Tag

This post contains affiliate links.  Thanks for supporting Pitter & Glink!
Hey, y'all!  I have a quick and easy project for you today.  I love making gifts for people or even just adding handmade touches to store-bought gifts.  Today's post is a very quick and easy way to add a handmade touch to any gift.  I'm showing you how to make a cute snowman gift tag using your Sizzix BIGkick and new dies from Stephanie Ackerman.

The great thing about this project is that it can be recreated over and over again using the dies, and every tag can look different depending on the paper and embellishments you use to make it.

To make the gift tag, you need a few supplies.  The list below contains affiliate links.  This is a fancy way of saying that if you purchase through one of my links, a small percentage of the purchase price goes toward helping support my blog at no extra charge to you.  (Thanks!)
Supplies:

Using Sizzix Framelits to cut paper pieces to create a handmade snowman gift tag. www.pitterandglink.com
First, cut all the shapes needed for the tag.  To cut the snowman and his accessories, make a Sizzix sandwich by placing a Standard Size Cutting Pad on top of the Extended Mutlipurpose Platform.  Place your paper on top of that and cover with the framelit dies.  Put another Standard Size Cutting Pad over that and roll through your BIGkick.  Make another Sizzix sandwich to create the tag.  Simply put paper on top of the Bigz L Card, Tag die, sandwich that between two Standard Size Cutting Pads, and roll through your BIGkick.  I used some of Sizzix's new paper leather for my tag, snowman, and the snowman's hat, and I must say that it's such a fun product!

Once all your pieces are cut, it's time to assemble the tag.  I stamped "fan Lah Lah" all over the top of my tag to create a fun background.  I rubbed some of the ink around the edges of the snowman's scarf to give it some dimension.  Then I used a glue stick to glue all my snowman pieces on the tag.  I stamped the snowman face on my snowman, colored his nose with a colored pencil, and added a tulle ribbon bow to the top of the tag. To complete the tag, I added rhinestone buttons to my snowman.

I love how my little tag turned out!

The tag opens like a card, and it's the perfect size for adding a gift card to the inside.  It would be so fun to put gift cards inside of these for friends and family and hang them on the tree until it's time to give them away.  Or you could simply make some to use as ornaments without the gift cards.  Whatever you choose to use the gift tags for, you're sure to have fun making them!
