{Pumpkin Pie Sugar Scrub Recipe & Free Printables}
Hey, y'all! Sorry to have been MIA last week. I was really busy with work and life in general, but I'm back today to share the recipe for the yummiest-smelling sugar scrub EVER with you. And to make up for my absence last week, I have not one...not two...not even three...but FOUR free printables to share with you! Yep. Two free printable jar labels (that come in two different sizes) and two free printable gift tags. So let's get to it!
To make your own scrub, you need to purchase and/or gather a few ingredients together.
Ingredients:
2 Cups of Dark Brown Sugar (or Light Brown Sugar)
4 Tablespoons (or 1/4 cup) of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
2 Tablespoons of Pumpkin Spice Latte Hand Soap (or Body Wash if Available)
4 Drops of Vitamin E Oil
4 Dashes of Pumpkin Pie Spice
This recipe makes approximately 2 1/2 cups of scrub--enough to fill three small glass jars.
Recipe:
Coconut oil like I used comes in a solid state and has to be melted in order to get it into a liquid state. To begin making your scrub, use a double boiler to melt 4 tablespoons (or 1/4 cup) of coconut oil. My double boiler is always a glass bowl over a pot of boiling water, so you don't need any fancy equipment for this step. ;)
Next, place the brown sugar in a large bowl. Add the melted coconut oil and all the other ingredients. Mix well. NOTE: At this point, you get to decide if you like the consistency of the scrub as is. If you think your scrub is too runny, add more sugar. If you think it's too thick, add more coconut oil. I don't like my scrub to be really runny, but I don't like it super thick either. The recipe above yielded the consistency that I was going for.
Store your scrub in air tight containers. (The recipe made enough to fill two small glass mason jars and one small all-glass jar like in the picture below.)
Of course if you plan to make a lot of scrub to give as gifts, you can adjust the recipe accordingly.
You just won't believe how great this stuff smells. You will want to eat it. It smells that good!
To use the scrub, place a nickel to quarter-sized dollop in your wet hands and rub your hands together vigorously while making sure to inhale the yummy scent. Rinse and enjoy how smooth your hands feel! Of course, you can use this on your feet as well, but be careful using it in the shower because it could make the your feet very slippery! Also, make sure you don't get any of the scrub on your clothes or light-colored towels because the dark brown sugar could discolor them.
And as promised, I have free printables for y'all! Click the name of the jar label or tag you'd like to download to be taken to the download page.

Packaged in the small jars like I used, the scrub would make great party or wedding favors. In larger jars, the scrub would make great Christmas gifts. Whatever you decide to do with it, remember--just don't eat it! :)
