I have a super inexpensive and easy tutorial for y'all today. I'm going to show you how to make this adorable little hair clip
You need felt, a needle and thread, a glue gun, glue sticks, and a hair clip. First you need to cut two strips of the felt.
As you can see from the picture, the strips are about one inch wide and 3 1/2 inches long. One strip has a V cut on each end. Take the strip without the V's and pinch it between your fingers.
Take the strip with the V's and put it behind the pinched strip.
Take your needle and thread and stitch down the middle so that the folded strip will stay in place. (You could possibly use hot glue, but I was scared it would be too thick when it came time to pinch the felt to get the cute little bow look.)
Cut another strip of felt wide enough to cover your stitches and long enough to wrap around the center of the bow.
Pinch your bow in the shape you want it and wrap the strip around the bow. Secure the strip in the back of the bow with hot glue.
Then it's time to attach your bow to the clip. Cut a rectangle of felt to sandwich between your clip. Then hot glue your bow to the top of your clip.
Then all that's left to do is find a cutie to wear the bow! That could be you or a little rugrat. ;) Here's a look at the finished clip.
If you like the flower clip beside the blow clip in the photo, you will have to check out Everything Under the Moon's 12 Days of Christmas Holiday Party.
My guest tutorial will be featured Thursday, but the party begins today! Head on over to Nikki's blog to see all the great guest posts! :)
